Today, Mitzi leads a team of stylists and various contractors, each of whom brings a unique talent to Bishop's. She attributes much of the salon's success to her talented team and the thorough training program each stylist and technician must undergo. Mitzi is a passionate teacher who truly thrives when sharing her knowledge with her staff and clients.

Our approach to client aesthetics involves your entire look. We welcome our clients to lean on us for fashion advice and maintain their fabulous new look. “Where’d you get that?” I get asked that a lot!

Beauty & Science is an exclusive line of color that no one else in Tennessee offers. BES is a full spectrum hair product line from color to hair care services, treatment to finish. We also carry Aveda to offer choices.
Hi, I’m Mitzi
Owner and Founder of Bishops
Since 1988, I’ve been on the cutting edge of hair, fashion and design. Our clientele appreciates quality, knows what they want, and goes after it.
As a native Nashvillian, I grew up working in my father’s salon and, by age 17, I was working as a hairdresser. After my father’s unexpected death, I left Nashville and headed to Los Angeles to further my career inspired by my dad. I spent the next nine years apprenticing under renowned stylists and world-class hairdressers. I trained with Sebastian in Los Angeles and Pivot Point in Chicago and Jon Nave. In 1988, I made my way back home to Nashville and founded Bishop’s Salon & Day Spa.
